Recovery Week and a day
As part of recovery week the service users, staff and Dear Albert are putting together 8 days of events.
We welcome everyone to come and join us in our activities to celebrate recovery.
Our itinerary can be found below.
Friday 1 September – Recovery Walk
Starting at 11.30am from the Clock Tower in Leicester City Centre and walking to the Friends Meeting Room in Queens Street.
Light refreshments will be served
Monday 4 September – Celebration Event and official opening of Dear Albert
Held at Leicester Progressive Spiritualist Church, St James Street, Lee Circle
Come and celebrate with us and meet our partners. We are also holding an art exhibition displaying art works from our Turning Point Friday art group. There will also be guest speakers.
The main focus will be on celebrating the official opening of the new Dear Albert premises in 68 Humberstone Gate. Dear Albert will be offering ‘bite size’ groups including harm reduction
Tuesday 5 September – Dear Albert film showing in Market Harborough
Film show at Market Harborough Council offices
Wednesday 6 September – Hinckley Event
Service user and stakeholder event celebrating recovery. Venue Salvation Army Hinckley
Thursdays 7 September – Loughborough event
Afternoon event showcasing our groups and work
Friday 8 September – Football Tournament
Our recovery week ends with our annual ‘fun’ football tournament which this year is being held at the Emerald Centre, 450 Gypsy Lane Leicester from 10.30am.
