The Turning Point Crisis Café offers a safe space for people who identify themselves as experiencing a mental health crisis, yet are deemed not to require immediate medical assessment. The Crisis Café provides a meaningful and supportive alternative when seeking help at times of crisis.

The café is facilitated by experienced Recovery and Peer Support Workers from Turning Point’s local Crisis House Services. Support in the café is tailored to the emotional needs of the individual and includes strengths-based problem solving, alongside signposting to a wide range of local services. This includes the possibility of on-going support through the Crisis House Outreach Service. Support is available through 1:1 sessions and the use of a calm and welcoming social space. 1:1 sessions can be available and would last up to 50 minutes, their availability can be discussed at the point of referral.

We are currently providing limited face to face support as a result of COVID-19; however treatment is still available. Find out the latest update on how the service is operating and please phone your local hub if you need assistance.
