Peer mentor volunteering
We really welcome working with those in recovery and who want to utilise their experiences and skills within the treatment system. We believe that peer mentors offer a unique perspective in assisting others to obtain and maintain recovery.
Turning Point offers a level two accredited course for Peer Mentors. This is a 10 week programme, which looks at a wide variety of topics such as communication, safeguarding, positive relationships, professional boundaries and transferable skills.
The course incorporates a huge range of information and skills based workshops. Helping others in their recovery is really rewarding and a great goal to aim for!
