New group work sessions for Oxfordshire

September 2015

September sees the introduction of our new group work programme. The hubs will be offering 3 new exciting groups which will support you to make the changes you want to and to achieve recovery.

‘Introduction to Change’ is a 4 week course which explores current motivation for change. Exploring these things as a group can be really inspiring as you speak with and listen to other people who also want to make changes and can encourage others.

‘Mindfulness Skills’ course is a 12 week programme that teaches the skill of mindfulness, or ‘living in the moment’. This can really help you to manage cravings and urges, as well as dealing with mood changes and stress more effectively.

‘Recovery Skills’ course is where you can learn how to manage possible relapse triggers and develop ways to manage your mood or emotions. This is an 18 week course which helps you to practice your skills to secure the positive changes you have made by building your confidence in relapse management, planning your time effectively, dealing with others, managing stress and anxiety and gaining effective support.

If you are interested in coming along please contact your local hub to find out more.

We are currently providing limited face to face support as a result of COVID-19; however treatment is still available. Find out the latest update on how the service is operating and please phone your local hub if you need assistance.
