Get Involved

Following treatment, you may be interested in getting involved in some local volunteering. There are lots of opportunities for this and we would support and encourage you to find the right position.

Peer mentor volunteering

We really welcome working with those in recovery and who want to utilise their experiences and skills within the treatment system. We believe that peer mentors offer a unique perspective in assisting others to obtain and maintain recovery. Turning Point offers a level two accredited course for Peer Mentors. This is a 10 week programme, which looks at a wide variety of topics such as communication, safeguarding, positive relationships, professional boundaries and transferable skills. The course incorporates a huge range of information and skills based workshops. Helping others in their recovery is really rewarding and a great goal to aim for!
