Family Support

Turning Point Roads to Recovery is an all purpose drug and alcohol treatment service located in Oxfordshire & commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council. We are dedicated in supporting people with there addiction. We also recognise that family and friend need support to.

To help support parents that use our service we have the following

  • TP Family Areas

These area are designated safe places within the hubs that are children friendly.

  • TP Parenting Group

We facilitate a specific group for parents that is a series of 6 sessions that look at the effects substance abuse has on children & their behaviors. We continue to have guest speakers from partnership agencies as well as organising children’s first aid course for parents.

We work with a number of partnership organisation that are specifically there to support family and friends

Drug Fam “At DrugFAM we are passionate about supporting those who are affected by somebody else’s addiction to drugs or alcohol.  We understand how easy it is to be drawn into the chaos that surrounds an addict and to be overwhelmed by feelings of helplessness, guilt and shame” – https://www.drugfam.co.uk/

Al-Anon“Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking, regardless of whether that person is still drinking or not.”  – https://www.al-anonuk.org.uk/

Vintage Refresh cafe –  Are you affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use? If so come along to our support group;

Turning Point Oxfordshire is currently working with 8 Children centres to provide inhouse support for staff.
