Leigh Bank’s Work with School Learners
Our Leigh Bank rehab staff and residents were recently invited to attend a Learning for Life (L4L) event at a local school in Rochdale.
The staff and residents delivered a presentation and a Q&A session to the pupils around impact of addiction, their individual stories and how the rehabilitation project has supported their recovery.
Feedback from the school stated:
“The professionalism of both your clients and yourself was outstanding, the content of your presentations were absolutely invaluable to our learners.
So many of our learners came up to me afterwards to say what a huge impact the session had, even this morning while walking down the school corridor pupils are still talking about your sessions!”
As the event was such a success the school would like to continue the relationship with Leigh Bank staff and residents by putting plans in place to facilitate group work with some of the schools most vulnerable pupils alongside the schools pastoral mentors.
