Supporting your recovery every step of the way

Friends and family

If you're worried about a loved one, the DAWS team is here to help you, and them.

If you are worried about a friend, family member, or loved one using alcohol or drugs in a problematic way, you can have a confidential conversation with our expert team and get some advice.

A member of our team will talk you through how to get some support for your loved one.

If you’re looking for advice or information, get in touch with our team on 0330 303 8080 or email us at daws@turning-point.co.uk

  • For a young person in distress, please call Childline for FREE ANYTIME on: 0800 1111 or visit: childline.org.uk
  • If it is an emergency, call 999.

Carers need support too

We know the strain that looking after someone with drug or alcohol issues can take on loved ones, carers, and family members. That’s why we offer a range of support – both one to one work, and support groups – to anyone who has loved one or family member using alcohol or drugs. Your loved one does not have to  be a DAWS client for you to receive this support.

We run families and friends groups twice a week, in two locations:

Tuesdays 1pm to 2:30pm

209a Harrow Road
W2 5EH

Thursdays 5pm to 6:30pm

69 Warwick Road
Earls Court

If you would like to come along or have any questions about the groups, please contact our Family and Carers Lead on 07792 662 268.

We are currently providing limited face to face support as a result of COVID-19; however treatment is still available. Find out the latest update on how the service is operating and please phone your local hub if you need assistance.
