Get Involved

Following treatment, you may be interested in getting involved in some local volunteering. There are lots of opportunities for this and we would support and encourage you to find the right position.

Volunteering

If you have an interest in using your skills and experience to support those in recovery then we would
love to hear from you. You may wish to support service users directly or behind the scenes, either way
we may have a role for you! Please get in touch by calling or emailing the service directly.

Peer mentor volunteering

Peer mentors can offer a unique perspective in assisting others to obtain and maintain recovery. Helping
others in their recovery is really rewarding and a great goal to aim for!

Turning Point offers a level two accredited course for Peer Mentors. This is a 10 week programme, which
looks at a wide variety of topics such as communication, safeguarding, positive relationships, professional
boundaries and transferable skills. The course incorporates a huge range of information and skills based
workshops.
