Wellbeing Day at Socialicious Cafe

Saturday 18th June 2016 saw Socialicious Cafe host a Wakefield Wellbeing Day to promote the variety of different options available to local people (including Turning Point service users) to improve the joy content in their lives. Along with attended displays by providers of gym services, crystal healing, life coaching, mini-seminars on meditation (Brahma Kumaris) and mental health (Rightsteps) and a demonstration of Bollywood dancing as therapy (Chiragi dance). Many other mainstream and non-mainstream wellbeing routes were on offer including the Turning Point peer mentor programme. Organiser Mike Winder of Wakefield Turning Point Get Connected team said that due to the success of this event, a repeat is now being planned. The network included:
